This is the only situation in which it will achieve the highest production speeds. A hydraulic press machine will not achieve the same high cycling speeds as a mechanical press but it offers significantly more versatility with its variable stroke length, die space, and pressure. This makes it a better choice when producing parts with deep, complex forms which require a significant amount of material flow. This allows it to be used in a wider variety of applications.

Another benefit of using a hydraulic machine is it features built-in overload protection. For example, a 100 ton hydraulic press will never exert more than 100 tons of pressure. This means the stampers never need to worry about overloading the press or accidentally smashing a guy. Once the price reaches its set pressure that is all the pressure there will be. Additionally, there is a relief valve which opens once the limit is exceeded to eliminate any danger of overload.

A hydraulic machine also benefits from full power throughout the entire stroke. A mechanical press only achieves full-time age at the very bottom of its stroke. As a result, using a hydraulic is easier because no allowances need to be made for reduced tonnage at the top of the stroke.

Overall flexibility is another benefit a hydraulic press machine offers. Press power always remains under control which means it can be adjusted to fit particular jobs. This includes the ram force, speed, release of force, and duration of pressure. Jobs with lighter dyes can be accomplished by simply decreasing the pressure.
